What is our method:
20/20/20 Bible Study Method
Read the Bible
For the first 20 minutes, you will read your Bible according to the Daily Reading Plan which can be found in your Life Journal.
This generally consists of 4-5 chapters of scripture, with a common mixture of both the Old & New Testaments.
Life Journal
For the second 20 minutes, you will choose a Bible verse from your reading, and create a journal entry using the acrostic S.O.A.P.
S- Scripture
Write down a verse that stood out to you while reading. List the Bible chapter & verse numbers as reference for future study.
O- Observation
Write down an observation about what the scripture is saying.
A- Application
Write down how the verse applies to your life and what God is speaking to you personally. A simple question to ask yourself: “How will I be different today because of what I just read?”
P- Prayer
Write down a prayer, asking God to help you apply the passage of scripture to your life.
Share Your Journal entry
For the last 20 minutes, you will go around the table and each person will share their journal entry.
During this time you can comment, encourage, and ask questions.
We will close out each group by praying for each other.

How long will the bible study take?
The 20/20/20 Bible Study method will last 1 hour.
-20 minutes for Bible reading. (Individual)
-20 minutes for journaling. (Individual)
-20 minutes for sharing. (Group)
I suggest arriving 15 minutes early to grab some coffee and hang out.
Do I Need to be a bible expert to join the group?
No, not at all! You can join and benefit from this group whether you are new believer or have been following Jesus for a while. MAKE DISCIPLES is a welcoming and effective place to discover truth and grow in your relationship with Jesus through the reading and application of the Bible.
Where is the meeting location and do we all need to sit together?
Each week we will meet at a different coffee shop in our area. The location will be communicated through the GroupMe App. Some locations will have more available seating than others. We will do our best to sit together, but if there is not enough available seating, we will link up in groups of 4-5 people.
Can I invite others to join us?
Yes, most certainly! MAKE DISCIPLES is a great place to invite people who are desiring to grow their relationship with Jesus and make friends. Invite those in your realm of influence to join us!
